The Tyvek® 500 HP "provides a solution for both requirements. The safety rope remains within a closed compartment with access to the harness worn underneath, creating a secure barrier between the wearer, equipment, and chemical hazards. This prevents contamination of the fall protection equipment and reduces the costly replacement of gear."

The conical shape of the rope cover provides enough material in the back area, so that the pulling effect in the event of a fall is limited – an additional advantage when using fall protection systems with shock absorbers.
